GPD Programs
VAF receives funding to operate for transitional housing programs was a grant to the US Department of Veterans Affairs Grant and Per Diem Program."The purpose of this grant is to promote the development and provisions of supportive housing and/or supportive services with the goal of helping homeless veterans achieve residential stability, increase their skill levels and back: or income, and obtain greater self-determination.
"Only program for supportive housing( up to 24 months) or service centers (offering service such as case management, education, crisis intervention, counseling, services targeted towards specialized populations including homeless women veterans etc.) Are eligible for these funds.
The four programs VAF operates are:
Per Diem: provides day services for veterans needing supportive services and housing placement. Established 1994.
60-bed program , on the VA grounds in Tomah WI.
Step Up: 12- bed program in Tomah WI.
Step Up: 7- bed program in Madison WI.
